telemarketers with hungry ghosts at their feet

following the curve of understanding

the genders of intuition

in the cause of advancement

to become a man of defiance

here discovers opposition

is not the mapmaker’s tool

here redraw my teacher’s portraits

telling the same dirty joke 50 times

the smile they had, the scream somehow

told in the twinge of one eye
